About the role
This is a senior‐level opportunity for an experienced succession lawyer to take ownership of a varied and complex file load, exercising a high degree of autonomy within a structured and high‐quality practice environment.
Responsibilities
You will manage succession matters from initial instruction through to finalisation, including:
* Wills, testamentary trusts, and comprehensive estate planning
* Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship
* Probate and Letters of Administration applications
* Deceased estate administration
* Family provision claims and inheritance disputes
* Estate litigation and dispute resolution
* Advice on estate risk, asset protection, and succession structures
Beyond your technical file work, you will contribute meaningfully to the strength of the practice – supporting junior practitioners, maintaining high documentation standards, building and sustaining referral relationships, and contributing to the firm's continued growth and reputation.

What you must have to apply for this role
* Admission to practise as a lawyer in Western Australia
* A minimum of 8 years' experience in succession law, with demonstrated experience at Senior Associate level (or equivalent) within a small to mid‐sized private practice
* Proven ability to manage complex files autonomously from instruction to finalisation
* Strong drafting skills across all areas of succession law, including wills, probate, and estate administration
* Experience in estate litigation and family provision matters
* Exceptional organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
* Strong client‐facing communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
* Full working rights to work in Australia
