We are currently seeking a Full Time Project Procurement Management Professional with expertise in logistics management to join our Grid Technologies Business Area procurement team based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies in projects while collaborating closely with sales and project management teams.
* Establish effective sourcing and procurement processes in the project and ensure controls are in place for all procurement resources and activities.
* Support project calculations from a procurement perspective.
* Drive critical metrics including procurement negotiation to achieve project savings, GVS countries sourcing, and driving e-auctions.
* Lead contractual terms & conditions and price negotiations for key packages such as switchgear, transformer, LSP, construction, mechanical & erection subcontractors, and miscellaneous.
* Contribute to supplier lifecycle management.
* Report on savings achieved as a result of procurement efforts via the SE procurement tool examples Jedox and PCS.
* Contribute to the improvement of our procurement processes and practices.
* Evaluate, select partners, and negotiate contracts with logistic companies.
* Be part of the project execution team and ensure that the planned procurement and logistic concepts are executed as planned achieving the planned KPIs.
Requirements
* Minimum 10+ years of sourcing and contract negotiation experience in multi-million dollar packages for Grid Technologies businesses.
* You're a great teammate who has attention to detail while keeping in mind the bigger picture of how the work relates to execution of business/procurement strategy.
* Understanding of contract law and claim management are preferred.
* Experience working in a multinational company and/or in the Energy sector (Power generation and/or Power transmission) is an asset.
* Bachelor/master degree or equivalent experience in business administration, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering with experience in commercial aspects desirable.
* Familiarity with SAP system.
* Must have full working rights in Australia.
