Job Title: Trades Assistant
Salary range: Grade 7 - $1,118.30 - $1,210.10 per week plus superannuation and tool allowance for a 38-hour work week
Perform minor servicing and repairs
Perform collection of parts and vehicles

To be successful in this role, you will need to be punctual, safety-minded, and receptive to instruction. You should have sound mechanical knowledge, experience, and interest, even without formal trade tertiary qualifications. Ability to work well in a team environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, repair, and servicing of Council’s plant and sundry equipment.
Conduct safety inspections.
Participate in training and development activities within specified timelines.
Organize resources and activities to meet deadlines and service standards.
Contribute to staff meetings and toolbox talks, raising issues and questions as appropriate.
Minimum requirements:
Current NSW Class C, HR, or HC driver’s licence.
WHS General Induction to Construction Work or willingness to obtain it.
Basic set of hand tools or willingness to acquire them.
