* Clerk Grade 3/4, salary from $84,659 plus Super and leave loading

About the role

NSW Public Works (NSW PW) is part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated administrative support officer to join our dynamic team in Queanbeyan. In this exciting role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of program and project operations across NSW Public Works.

As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and quality administrative services for our Queanbeyan Office. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of fields including property and fleet management, administration, WHS and staff engagement.

Additionally, you will be required to provide Project Managers with administrative project support as part of your core duties.

You will be the primary site point of contact for stakeholders, contractors and suppliers, providing professional and timely responses to their enquiries and coordinating works to minimise disruptions to the office operation. Staying updated on relevant legislation, policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and maintaining accurate records and databases will also be essential to your role.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Experience in business and project administration. Knowledge and experience in construction projects is advantageous
* Strong ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience managing competing demands while maintaining high attention to detail to ensure timely and efficient administrative support and office management
* Proven ability to provide high-quality service, respond to a wide range of enquiries, assess incoming tasks, and adjust priorities accordingly
* Ability to learn and use multiple software systems, including Office 365. Knowledge of CM10 and MyWorkZone advantageous but not essential
* A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Hold an NSW Drivers Licence. Willingness to attend and work on project sites which may include overnight stays
