The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Exploration, you'll lead a talented team of Geologists and Field technicians to deliver high-impact exploration programs. You'll be hands-on, strategic, and deeply involved in shaping the future of our resource base. The role is offered on an attractive Lifestyle 8 days on 6 days off roster.
Key responsibilities include:
* Participation in the development of the exploration strategy for Genesis Minerals
* Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of safety, curiosity, and excellence
* Oversee drilling, mapping, sampling, and geophysical surveys
* Interpret geological data to support modelling, resource estimation, and economic evaluation
* Manage logistics, rosters, and contractor coordination
* Champion safe, sustainable, and high-quality work practices
* Ensure safe, high quality work procedures are maintained, and compliant with environmental standards;
About you
You're a natural leader with a sharp geological mind and a passion for discovery. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring integrity, accountability, and a people-first approach to everything you do.
You'll also have the following:
* BSc in Geology (MSc or PhD in relevant field is desirable)
* A minimum of 5 years proven experience in gold exploration, resource definition, and structural mapping
* Leadership experience is appreciated, and we'll support you to develop it further
* Strong technical skills in geoscience software and databases
* A collaborative mindset and unwavering safety focus
* Manual C Class Driver's License
