THE ROLE
As a site based Zero Harm Lead, you will actively support, coach, mentor and provide HSE advice to our team providing routine maintenance, breakdown response, and major outages planning and works. During delivery of major outages, your team will grow to support the 24/7 operations and significantly increased personnel numbers. You will take a one-team approach to interact with our client's HSE team and site leadership to align our safety systems and cultures and work collaboratively with client and Downer stakeholders to respond to and investigate incidents.
This dynamic site-based role will involve exposure to a mix of disciplines with a focus on bringing people together to ensure we achieve our Work Health, Safety and Environment objectives whilst contributing to the innovation of the business.
Please note, this project is based in Muswellbrook, NSW and we are ideally seeking a locally based individual that is willing to commute to site each day or relocate for the position. Alternative arrangements may be available for a candidate with the right calibre of experience.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Previous experience working in Power stations is desirable.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience working with client HSE advisors to harmonise asset owner and contractor systems and processes.
* Previous experience on Shutdowns and/or Construction/Mining Projects
* Diploma in WHS is preferred.
* Cert IV Trainer & Assessor certificate is desirable.
* ICAM investigation skills and competency a minimum.
* An understanding and a working knowledge of WHS practices and current legislation.
