OverviewOn-Site HR Manager — Cleveland, OH.
The On-Site Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between Hunter International and one of our clients.
This position is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the temporary workforce, ensuring a positive employee experience, meeting client staffing needs, and maintaining compliance and performance metrics.
The On-Site Manager plays a critical role in driving workforce productivity, retention, and satisfaction through hands-on engagement, coaching, and communication.ResponsibilitiesServe as the on-site liaison between Hunter International and client, building and maintaining positive relationships with client leadership and HR.Manage day-to-day activities of temporary employees, including attendance, onboarding, performance, coaching, and retention.Coordinate with recruiting teams to ensure proper candidate flow to meet client staffing needs.Conduct on-site orientations and training sessions for new hires, ensuring understanding of job duties, safety procedures, and client policies.Track and monitor timekeeping, attendance, and productivity metrics; escalate issues and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on headcount, turnover, attendance, and performance metrics to internal and client stakeholders.Respond promptly and professionally to any client or employee concerns, resolving issues effectively and escalating as necessary.Support compliance with all labor laws, company policies, and client regulations.Partner with Hunter's internal departments, including compliance, payroll, recruiting, and operations, to ensure smooth service delivery.Monitor and enforce adherence to assignment schedules, breaks, PPE requirements, and other operational standards.Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all employee interactions.Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in Human Resources, staffing, recruitment, or workforce management.Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.Experience working with manufacturing or light industrial clients is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse hourly workforce.High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), timekeeping software, and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work on-site at the client facility during standard business hours.Ability to walk the plant floor and engage with the workforce.Prolonged periods of walking and standing.Ability to navigate manufacturing floor safely and effectively.Minimal travel required (e.g., meetings or training at Hunter HQ or another site).
