About Pedare:
Pedare is an R-12 coeducational Anglican and Uniting Church school in Golden Grove. We are committed to developing young people to make a difference in our local and global communities, and passionate about providing our students with the very best education. Pedare was established in 1986, and we currently have over 1,150 students. Pedare is a vibrant, collaborative, values-based workplace where staff are welcomed and supported.
Across our Junior and Middle Schools, we use the IB PYP and MYP framework and Australian Curriculum and in Senior School we use the SACE for curriculum delivery. We take pride in knowing and understanding each of our students, their learning and their interests. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a vibrant and dynamic educator to join our team for a full-time (1.0 FTE) contract for Term 2, 2026. While the primary focus is English and Humanities, a versatile candidate capable of teaching across other subject areas will be highly regarded. Reporting to the relevant Learning Area Coordinator, you will be a motivated collaborator dedicated to delivering a relevant, engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of young people.
The role:
* Set programmes and lesson objectives based on the curriculum and within ACARA and IBMYP requirements
* Consistently give prompt feedback to students, encourage and involve students in class to enable them to fulfil their potential
* Develop and use appropriate assessment tasks and accurately record all grades and results for student assessment
* Promote a trusting and caring approach within the classroom
* Maintain current knowledge of pedagogy and subject disciplines
* Ability to relate well to students, recognising both the pastoral and educative aspects of the student-teacher relationship
* Ability to teach other curriculum areas an advantage
* Maintain an interest in the welfare of students and promote the wellbeing of students
* Some out of hours will be required due to role requirements
What we need:
* A current South Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* A current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certificate
* A current Teacher Registration Certificate in South Australia
* First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
* Academic Transcripts and Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates
All certificates and qualifications must be provided to the College prior to commencement of employment; and the College requests the applicant to disclose any information relevant to their eligibility to engage in activities involving children and young people.
