A State Government Department is responsible for important research to better support South Australia's environment and community. They are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join their Western Suburbs team on a full-time, temporary basis. Working within a supportive corporate services environment, you will be the first point of contact for staff, stakeholders, contractors, and members of the public.
Your new role
In this pivotal front-of-house role, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to management, staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering professional reception services, including greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, mail and deliveries.
* Providing administrative support to the team, including diary coordination, catering, and room set-up for meetings.
* Assisting with travel bookings, procurement, purchase orders and invoice preparation.
* Assisting with site security procedures, including checking inductions, issuing keys and passes, and monitoring the electronic sign-in system.
* Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Coordinating office supplies, stationery, corporate clothing orders and distribution across multiple sites.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an organised and adaptable professional who enjoys working in a busy and diverse environment. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Previous experience in reception, administrative support or front-desk roles.
* Strong software skills with proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Experience using Basware or Objective is highly regarded but not essential.
