An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and committed OSHC & Vacation Care Director to lead the OSHC and Vacation Care service for fewer than 80 children at the Galilee Campus.
About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus (and ultimately the Principal), the OSHC & Vacation Care Director is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the OSHC and Vacation Care service, operating with a high level of independence and professional judgement.
Key responsibilities
* Overall leadership, administration and operation of the OSHC and Vacation Care service
* Ensuring compliance with Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
* Preparation for and coordination of internal and external audits
* Leadership of a high‑quality recreation and leisure program aligned with My Time, Our Place Framework V2
* Staff recruitment, induction, mentoring, performance support and rostering
* Financial management, budgeting and accountability
* Inclusive practice and support for children with additional needs
* Development of collaborative partnerships with families, staff and the school community
* Leading reflective practice, continuous improvement and risk management
* Ensuring safe environments and adherence to WHS and duty of care obligations
* Provision of nutritious food in line with Right Bite Healthy Eating Guidelines
About You
You are a confident, organised and values‑driven OSHC professional with demonstrated experience leading teams and managing services. You are relationship‑focused, adaptable and committed to quality outcomes for children, families and staff.
You will bring:
* Proven leadership and management experience in OSHC and/or Vacation Care
* Strong knowledge of legislative and compliance requirements
* Experience in program planning, staff supervision and service development
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High level organisational, administrative and financial capability
* Capacity to work autonomously and lead in complex or high‑pressure situations
* A commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of Cardijn College
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
* ACECQA‑approved qualification (Tier 2 minimum if included in ratio), or a relevant tertiary qualification equivalent to two years full‑time study (if not included in ratio)
* Current Working with Children Check and eligibility to work in Catholic Education SA
* Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings certification
* Willingness to act in accordance with CESA policies, Code of Conduct and WHS obligations
