As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and caring Medical Receptionist to join our specialist obstetric and gynaecology clinic in Rose Park.

This is a part-time role, approximately 25–30 hours per week, with shifts between 8.00am–4.00pm or 9.00am–5.30pm. Some flexibility with days may be possible; however, due to the ongoing nature of the role, this position is not suitable for a student.

About the Role

You will work closely with our front desk reception team, administration staff and Practice Manager, supporting our specialists and midwives to help ensure each patient feels welcomed, supported and well cared for. This role is an important part of the day-to-day running of the clinic, with a strong focus on providing warm, professional and compassionate care.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Welcoming patients and being the first point of contact for the clinic

* Booking, confirming, rescheduling and cancelling appointments

* Managing phone enquiries with care and professionalism

* Assisting with management of the appointment book

* Ensuring appointments are billed correctly

* Assisting with Medicare billing and batching

* Managing patient recalls and follow-up of missed appointments

* Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence

* Supporting the reception and clinical teams with general administrative tasks

Experience with Gentu medical software is an advantage.

About You

You are someone who:

* Has experience in reception, medical administration or medical customer service

* Enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care

* Is organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy environment

* Communicates clearly, kindly and professionally

* Is confident using computer systems and learning new processes

* Works well as part of a supportive team

* Is flexible to assist with leave coverage when needed

Work Rights Requirement

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia on an ongoing basis.
Visa sponsorship is not available.

* A probation period applies

* A Working With Children Check and Police Check will be required prior to commencement
