Terra Firma is a specialist infrastructure solutions business delivering engineered FRP pit lids and outdoor access structures across complex civil, utilities and construction environments. They are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer Manager to lead project delivery excellence while developing and mentoring their next generation of engineers.
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who enjoys owning projects end‐to‐end, working across technical, commercial and operational teams, and setting the standard for how projects are delivered.
Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead multiple engineering and construction projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
You'll act as the central coordination point between Engineering, Production, Sales and external stakeholders, while providing strong leadership and technical guidance to Project Engineers, Graduates and Students.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
* Lead and deliver multiple concurrent projects end‐to‐end
* Develop and manage scope, schedule, cost and resourcing plans
* Monitor progress, risks, variations and performance
* Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders
* Drive safe, compliant and high‐quality project outcomes
Technical & Commercial Oversight
* Interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation
* Complete material take‐offs and quantity assessments
* Provide technical clarification to Production and Project teams
* Support Sales with technical input for tenders and proposals
* Manage cost control, variations and margin protection
Mentorship
* Mentor and support Project Engineers, graduates and students
* Promote best practice project delivery and accountability
* Build a collaborative, high‐performance team culture

You're a confident project leader with strong technical capability and a structured approach to delivery.

* Demonstrated project management experience (essential)
* Proven delivery of engineering or construction projects
* Strong leadership and people‐management capability
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience with material take‐offs and quantity reviews
* Sound commercial awareness and cost control skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Highly Regarded
* Civil, electrical or construction project experience
* Engineering qualification (Civil, Mechanical, Structural or similar)
* Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Diploma or equivalent)
