Talent & Development Coordinator
Are you a recruitment professional looking to make a real impact? Step into this role where you'll manage the delivery of MHNSW's recruitment, onboarding and induction programs. You'll play a key role in building workforce capability across the organisation while ensuring engaging and professional experiences for candidates and hiring managers alike. You will also create high‐quality documentation and reporting to drive recruitment processes, support establishment changes, and enable the effective management of employment contracts.

* Clerk Grade 7/8. Remuneration package includes salary ($113,574 - $125,720), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
* Ongoing full-time employment.
* The role will work across Sydney.
What we do
Museums of History NSW brings together a portfolio of iconic museums, rich collections and heritage sites, the nation's oldest archive collection, vital recordkeeping services and expert staff.
We bring history to life by sharing the stories of our places and collections. Through the State Archives Collection, we manage NSW's official documentary heritage, supporting government transparency and the public's right to access information.
These two roles do not just sit side by side – they inform and enrich each other. By preserving and making accessible our places, collections and archives, we create opportunities for people to explore the past and better understand their own place in the world. Museums of History NSW is a state cultural institution, established under the Museums of History NSW Act 2022. It is an agency of the NSW Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport (DCITHS).
What you'll do with us:
This role you will manage the delivery of MHNSW's recruitment function and onboarding and induction programs to achieve optimisation of Museums of History NSW strategies and resources ensuring compliance with required legislation.
You will provide advice to a range of stakeholders to inform and support best practice and decision making in regard to recruitment process enabling the timely delivery of high-quality recruitment outcomes. Produce documents and reports to progress recruitment processes and outcomes, establishment changes and the management of employment contracts.

What you need to do to apply

* A one to two page cover letter outlining how your skills and experiences meet the essential requirements for this role.

* Respond to the 2 targeted questions (no more than 300 words per answer). Your responses to the targeted questions should be submitted online during your application and not included in the covering letter.
What you need to tell us - Targeted questions:
1. Provide an example of when you have delivered reports and supporting information to Executives/Team Leaders on the management of employees' contract periods to support organisational decision making. What sources or frameworks did you rely on to ensure the information was accurate, relevant, and applicable to the situation?
2. The Talent & Development Coordinator partners with hiring managers to provide advice and develop effective recruitment strategies. Please provide an example of a time when you worked with a hiring manager to develop a recruitment strategy and explain what factors you considered during the process.
Key knowledge and experience of the role:
* Experience in coordinating and advising on recruitment and learning and development activities for a diverse workforce.
* Experience in providing support and advice, an understanding of Human Resources processes and procedures.
* Experience administering recruitment system such as Cornerstone.
* Experience in administration of an organisation establishment.
* Experience writing and developing role descriptions and current certification in Mercer CED job evaluation.
Essential requirements of the role:
* Experience working in the NSW Government, with working knowledge Government Sector Employment Act (GSE) 2013 and Rules and Regulations and the ability to interpret and advise on its rules and regulations.
* Willingness to work across and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
