Ability Action Australia's Sutherland Shire team is looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners with current suitability at the Core or Proficient level, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Successful candidates will provide support to NDIS participants living in Sutherland Shire and surrounding suburbs.

Responsibilities will include:
Assisting NDIS participants and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning
Developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support environments
Creating meaningful goals and strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, committed to eliminating restrictive practices, in home and community settings
Ensuring plans align with participants' goals, passions, and strengths, enhancing their quality of life
Building the capacity and strengths of those supporting participants, including family, carers, and friends
Acting as an advocate and role model for best practices
Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
To be considered suitable, you will have:
Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at the Core or Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
A degree qualification as an allied health professional
Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle a varied caseload
A proactive attitude motivated by improvement and learning from new ideas
A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
Solution-focused, highly organised, and exceptional people skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
