Internship opportunity for current law students to gain experience in legal capability and access to legal services at Victoria Law Foundation.
Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Work across different VLF areas based on staff capacity and intern interests
* Gain exposure to all areas of work including education, grants, communications, research, and engagement
* Participate in visits to major Victorian jurisdictions and institutions
* Attend appropriate meetings and events
* Research and draft documents or other materials
* Understand systems and processes underpinning VLF's work
* Work under the supervision of a VLF supervisor, who may not be a lawyer
About You
The company is looking for:
* Current law student at an Australian university (living in Victoria), undertaking an undergraduate law degree or JD
* Interest in improving legal capability and access to legal services
* Openness to working in a not-for-profit legal environment
* Encouragement for applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities
Training & Development
* Opportunity to gain understanding of VLF's work and exposure to alternative legal careers
* Experience working for a not-for-profit legal body and growing professional networks
