You will be joining a mature Identity and Access Management (IAM) capability responsible for supporting and evolving complex, mission‐critical environments.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IBM Security Identity Manager / Access Manager Technical Lead to take ownership of production support and development activities within the Identity domain.
This role is responsible for the stability, availability, and ongoing enhancement of multiple IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) environments supporting critical applications. You will act as a technical lead, providing hands‐on support, troubleshooting, and guidance to administrators and project teams, while ensuring systems meet service levels and security standards.
The role requires strong technical depth across IBM Security IAM technologies, the ability to triage and resolve complex issues, and the flexibility to support project testing and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and maintain multiple ISAM environments supporting business‐critical applications
* Provide technical leadership to the Identity production support and development team
* Triage environment, configuration, and application issues, performing effective troubleshooting
* Support system administrators and project teams to meet delivery objectives
* Ensure system availability and adherence to SLAs
* Collect requirements, implement environment changes, and resolve environment issues
* Analyse existing environments and recommend improvements through workflow efficiency and consolidation
* Support deployments and configuration changes across development and test environments
* Participate in incident response, root‐cause analysis, and problem management
* Support testing activities, including extended hours and weekends when required
* Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders across the organisation
* Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
The Successful Candidate
You will be a hands‐on IAM specialist with strong experience across IBM Security products and enterprise identity environments.
Mandatory skills and experience:
* Strong hands‐on experience with:
* IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM)
* IBM Security Federated Identity Manager (ISFIM)
* IBM Security Directory Server and DB2
* IBM Security Directory Integrator (ISDI)
* WebSphere Application Server
* Experience with LDAP and Identity, Access Management, and Federation concepts
* Strong experience implementing OAuth, OIDC, OpenID, SAML, SSO, and MFA
* Experience with automation and configuration management tools, including:
* Puppet
* Ansible
* Jenkins
* GitLab
* Working knowledge of AWS Cloud concepts
* Strong Linux/Unix skills, including basic administration and command‐line usage
* Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, and Python
Additional experience and attributes:
* Ability to analyse complex environments and recommend technical improvements
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of outcomes
* Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Experience working within enterprise banking or regulated environments (highly regarded)
Nice to have:
* Experience with Postman or SoapUI
