About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. As a residential (drive-in / drive-out) mine, Cadia values community deeply, offering both financial and in-kind support to organizations across Blayney, Cabonne, and Orange townships. Join our Molybdenum (Moly) Plant team based at our Cadia mine site. Being the first and only Moly Plant in Australia, this position represents an opportunity to advance your skillset.
As a passionate technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Moly Plant. The role will see you contribute to the production of a quality concentrate while maximising recovery and utilisation. In addition to this, you will be required to ensure our production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
If you're enthusiastic, willing to learn, and love hands-on work, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain industry experience and develop skills in a high-performance processing plant.
Key Responsibilities Include

* Operating and monitoring plant equipment to support stable, high-performance production
* Working with Maintenance, Metallurgy and the wider Operations team to drive continuous improvement, maintaining the compliance and execution of daily tasks, isolations & shutdown plans, including the fixed plant operation of flotation plant, filtration plant & forklift operations.
* Participating in all shift handovers, ensuring all issues are appropriately documented and shared with the Leading Hand/Plant Supervisor.
* Maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an inspiring team player with an excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude. Your sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills will further enable you to work across multiple disciplines and understand the various facets of the business structure.
* Experience in mineral processing, flotation, or a similar plant-based environment (desirable)
* Exposure to crushing, milling and dewatering operations will be highly regarded
* Understands the importance of safety, precision, and teamwork
* Takes ownership of their role and looks for ways to improve performance
* Is adaptable, technically minded, and values a positive team culture
