Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturer Competitive Salary | Based in Greenacre A major player in the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Greenacre. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Supervisors, championing safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site. You’ll play a key role in coaching, developing, and empowering your team to deliver operational objectives while fostering a high-performance, accountability-driven culture. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all maintenance operations across the site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance Champion safety by ensuring full compliance with PPE, environmental, and inspection standards Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules with 90% PM compliance Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce downtime and boost productivity Oversee repairs, spare parts inventory, and maintenance budgets Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), lead risk assessments, and drive loss elimination initiatives Build and develop a high-performing maintenance team through strategic workforce planning, training, and performance management What You Will Bring Proven leadership and engineering management experience within food, FMCG, or manufacturing (corrugated board experience desirable) Strong technical background in engineering, maintenance, or reliability Demonstrated experience managing supervisors and leading high-performing teams A continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean or CI methodologies Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels Solid experience in budget management, planning, and compliance This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of maintenance operations in a modern facility and make a lasting impact within a leading food manufacturing business.
