The role
Position Summary

Permanent part‐time position (14 hours per week) as a Clinical Psychologist in the Child, Adolescent, Youth Mental Health Team at the Nowra site of Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD). The role delivers evidence‐based assessment, information and treatment for children, adolescents and families within the Shoalhaven District, while also conducting research and collaborating with senior clinicians on project evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct evidence‐based assessment, information collection and treatment for children, adolescents and families.
  • Provide brief interventions, initiate and manage planned treatment options, and consult with other agencies for crisis management.
  • Deliver intervention strategies including individual, family, group work and early intervention programmes.
  • Conduct psychological research and evaluate projects as required, collaborating with senior clinicians to disseminate findings for clinical practice.
  • Provide clinical support within a multidisciplinary team in Nowra.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or another recognised clinical area in psychology.
  • Post‐graduate qualifications of no less than two years full‐time duration (or part‐time equivalent) that include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
  • Valid NSW driver's licence.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Compliance with Category A vaccination requirements.
  • Ability to commit to 14 hours per week and deliver high‐quality service.
