Nexus Airlines is currently seeking a highly skilled Operations Coordinator to join our growing team based in Broome.
40 hours a week, Full time position, weekends on rotation.
About the role
As an Operations Coordinator you will support the safe and efficient day-to-day operations for the airline involving all flights, operating airports, third party suppliers and staff, including reservations service personnel. The role includes a key focus on flight schedule optimisation, on-time performance, and customer service excellence.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Oversight and management of day-to-day operations, including flight scheduling and disruption management, flight tracking, crew requirements and rostering, schedule of maintenance planning and flight recovery
* Delivery of operation functions including client enquiries and requirements, assisting with quotations, preparation of flight manifests, aircraft dispatch and freight dispatch
* Provide operational support to flights regarding landing requests, aircraft parking arrangements, fuel uploads, crew accommodation and transport
* Assist in the safe, efficient and compliant running of all aspects of airline operations
* Support the delivery of agreed service standards for the airline within defined objectives including adhering to client standards and contractual obligations
* Responsible for a variety of administrative functions that support the Operations Manager, Operations Team and third-party suppliers
* Administrative and corporate governance requirements as required

To be successful in this role:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within the aviation or logistics industry
* Ability to work flexible hours with rotating shifts around the staff roster and flying schedules
* Capable to adapt to an ever changing, fast paced operational environment
* Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy with experience in analytical and well considered problem solving
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with emphases on Excel, Word and Outlook
* Ability to interpret and understand regulations relevant to the airline operations
* Ability to obtain ASIC
* Advanced IT Skills, experience with systems such as Air Maestro, Takeflite, Harmony Metron and/or other similar aviation safety and flight scheduling software highly desirable
