Veterinary Nurse / Immunotherapy Technician
Dermcare-Vet specialises in the development and manufacture of high-quality veterinary dermatology products, developed internally for specific dermatological purposes. Dermcare-Vet is a 100% Australian-owned and operated company founded in 1981 by Dr Ken Mason. Dr Mason was one of the first veterinarians in Australia to be registered as a specialist Veterinary Dermatologist. Our professional team is passionate about delivering innovative, science-driven treatments and personalised care to pets and their people. We also operate a GMP-compliant immunotherapy production facility and provide technical support to veterinary clinics across Australia.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vet Nurse wishing to further their knowledge and skills in dermatology. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director in a role that blends Veterinary Nursing, Personal Assistant, and Production Technician responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Assistant to Managing Director
Diary management and scheduling
Conduct research and provide administrative/secretarial support
Manage EndNote database and retrieve scientific literature
Assist in the care of special patients and research tasks
Veterinary Support (Animal Allergy & Dermatology Service)
Small amount of clinical work
General nursing duties and equipment management
Ordering and stock control
Immunotherapy Technician (Cat 1 Production)
Manufacture allergen immunotherapy vaccines under GMP conditions
Prepare prescription worksheets and process customer orders
Perform pre- and post-production decontamination and documentation
Maintain aseptic technique and allergen reconciliation
Clinical Trial Support
Where required, assist with patient handling, diagnostics and file management for clinical trials
Technical Services & Customer Support
Support the Technical Services Veterinarians as required
About You
A qualified Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV or equivalent) with relevant clinical experience
Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing schedules and priorities
Familiar with Microsoft suite (desirable)
Comfortable handling multiple roles and switching between clinical, administrative, and production tasks
