We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician with an Electrical bias to join our Mechanical Engineering Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality service in respect of undertaking maintenance, repairs, and modifications to a wide range of Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services within the Trust.
* Carry out repair, maintenance, and installation of plant, equipment, systems, and building structure/fabric associated with all Trust properties.
* Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing, calibration, fault finding, emergency response, defect correction, and new works.
Requirements:
* A recognised trade apprenticeship and a BTEC HNC/diploma in Engineering or equivalent City and Guilds qualification are essential.
* Proven experience in non-routine maintenance of complex engineering plant and equipment is required.
* Excellent communication skills, ensuring good working relationships are maintained with Estates Department staff at all levels, are essential.
* Tactful and persuasive skills in respect of providing and receiving complex and sensitive information are also necessary.
* Training skills to undertake training and/or instruction and evaluation of users of job-specific systems and equipment are highly desirable.
The post holder will be employed to work appropriately to their core skills, particularly around building and engineering plant and equipment maintenance. They will progressively be trained to acquire elements of other skills with the intention of reaching levels of multi-trade flexibility and competence.
