Equipment Reliability Specialist

This role involves taking a proactive approach to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying SCADA systems, driving investigations, and implementing design improvements for manufacturing tooling.

Duties:

* Design and Develop SCADA Systems: Create real-time performance monitoring systems that integrate with IoT technology, enable predictive and condition-based monitoring triggers, and provide data-driven insights for maintenance and optimization.
* Investigate and Improve Manufacturing Tooling: Conduct thorough investigations into manufacturing tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement design improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Create Electrical Control Panels: Design and develop NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliant electrical control panels, creating schematics for electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems.
* Maintenance Strategies: Develop and implement equipment improvement plans for maintenance strategies and equipment availability to maximize production equipment availability.
* Root Cause Analysis: Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to develop engineering solutions to repetitive or high-consequence failures on critical equipment.
* HMI Screen Design: Generate aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery while providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting.
* FMECA Analysis: Conduct Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to create proactive reliability programs for critical equipment.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements, design iterations, and equipment overhauls.
* Maintenance KPIs: Develop and implement maintenance and reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive equipment improvements and organizational efficiency.
* Technical Support: Provide technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, reliability, or operations.

Preferred Skills:

* Electrical Schematics: Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, P&ID, GD&T, and OEM manuals.
* Maintenance and Reliability KPIs: Basic understanding of maintenance and reliability KPIs; OEE, MTBF, MTTR.
* Electromechanical Systems: Experience in process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems.
* Robotic Weld Applications: Experience in a variety of robotic weld applications (Kuka, ABB & Fanuc).
* PLC Programming: PLC programming experience, preferably Siemens TIA Portal & Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
* HMI and SCADA Programming: HMI and SCADA programming experience.
* Field Bus Networks: Field bus networks, serial communication, and Ethernet communication.
* Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience building and commissioning high-quality electrical control panels and electro-mechanical systems.
* Code Knowledge: Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A codes.

Physical Requirements:

* Standing and Lifting: Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 30 lbs unassisted.
* Outdoor Work: Ability to work in outdoor environments as needed.
* Extended Hours: Must be available to work extended hours and some weekends.
* Travel: Willing to travel for short trips as needed, up to 10% travel.
