In this role, you'll:
Play a key role enabling the delivery of industry skills, diversity and culture requirements across projects in the Infrastructure Projects and Engineering division. You'll provide strategic advice to support positive local socio‐economic outcomes, develop practical frameworks that help teams deliver consistent results statewide, and lead engagement across Transport, government and industry partners to drive skills, diversity and productivity outcomes in infrastructure.
Translate current industry trends and insights into practical actions and initiatives that Transport/Infrastructure Projects and Engineering branch can drive through its infrastructure pipeline.
Develop creative solutions that consider opportunities at a portfolio and place or regional level, rather than project by project (including for transferable employment outcomes), and ensure any place or region‐specific strategies are developed, implemented and monitored to deliver tangible outcomes.
Provide strategic and high‐quality advice on social procurement, skills and diversity to infrastructure projects across all project phases, including consistent and streamlined input to business case processes and construction transaction documentation.
Supply strategic insight and leadership to scale up impact in skills and manage a team of senior advisors and a Women in Construction Officer dedicated to Western Sydney.
Drive national and state policy development and implementation through practical experience, subject matter expertise and data insights.
Maintain strong strategic relationships and partnerships across government and industry, including with industry associations with respect to skills and diversity.
Permanent, full‐time opportunity | Home office 680 George St, Sydney. Hybrid work arrangements, team anchor days currently Monday and Thursday.
About you
You excel at managing diverse stakeholders across government and industry, staying across the evolving policy and funding landscape in social procurement, industry skills, diversity and development, and driving meaningful change. You're adaptable, collaborative and able to influence outcomes.
You demonstrate experience in:
* Working in construction skills, training and/or diversity with tactical, delivery experience
* Credibility as an infrastructure skills and diversity industry leader
* A strong network within the infrastructure industry particularly with skills and diversity professionals
* Managing a team to deliver high quality results, positive team culture, adaptability and resilience
* Program delivery with a sound knowledge of the machinery of government and legislative frameworks
* Social procurement, workforce development, training, employment, human resources, business capability building or industry development fields in the infrastructure sector
* Integrating skills, diversity, culture and broader socio‐economic outcomes into project development and delivery, and knowledge of policy frameworks and issues of relevance
