Offer description

Our client, a national organisation within the aviation sector, is currently seeking a Training Manager for their Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP).

* Initial 9‑month contract with possible extension, paying $1,000/day
* Brisbane Airport location with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
* Must have at least +7 years' experience training leaders across large geographically dispersed organisations

The ENMP will deliver updates to operational (mission‑critical) and corporate networks to ensure existing systems remain connected, supporting safe, efficient and effective Air Navigation and Aviation Rescue and Fire‑Fighting services.

This organisation has commenced a multi‑year programme to modernise its network for a strategic change agenda. Over the next few years, ENMP will transition to a new IP network with new terrestrial, microwave and satellite components, moving to a managed service provider / vendor‑operated model.

As ENMP Training Manager, you will work with implementation partners, Business Change Managers and other programme team members to develop and deliver a sound training strategy for the transformational change, ensuring people are ready and able to perform from day one.

You will play a key role in ensuring adoption, resistance management and readiness is managed. You will lead and identify training and knowledge requirements, develop an integrated training plan and curriculum, oversee training development and delivery, and ensure the training and knowledge transfer is executed successfully. You will work with relevant business areas to ensure the training is handed over for long‑term sustainable change.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with, and have demonstrable experience in, leading training and knowledge transfer in an enabling services improvement environment within a culturally and geographically (Australia) diverse organisation. You will be comfortable leading the training effort across a portfolio of work and will be willing to contribute as required.

The Training Manager will support Program Managers and the Program Change and Implementation Leads by providing advice and guidance on training requirements, quality assurance and alignment across the portfolio.
