Our diversity helps usprovide the best support possible to carers, families, children and youngpeople and all of our external stakeholders.A little about the roleSeeking appropriately qualified and experienced people to join our expandingteam of Youth Workers (residential) working in our Transitional High NeedsPlacements (Complex Care) in South West region. The position is in a live-instaff rostered home working within a therapeutic model of care. You willprovide direct care to Young People in consultation with the key care team. You will have a demonstrated understanding of trauma informedtherapeutic care to assist in deescalating and responding to criticalincidents with the young person You will have experience in dealing with children and Young people(various ages from 0-18yo) with 'complex needs and behaviours' and theability to therapeutically manage these behaviours You will implement, monitor and review individual therapeutic andgoal plans You will be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which mayinclude days, evenings, sleepovers and weekendsRemuneration: SCHADS Level 3, $46.69 - $50.06 /per hour inclusive ofcasual leave loading. This position is Casual.About youYou will have substantial experience and demonstrated knowledge in asimilar role with the social and community services sector.You will have training and qualifications in youth/social work or community services You will have the ability to communicate clearly and sensitivelywith child/young people and adults in different situations. You will beable to demonstrate effective communication in writing. You will be reliable, flexible and dependable with solidorganization skills. You will enjoy making a substantial difference, every day, in the life of our young people.
