Your new role
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Addressing client needs in the least restrictive manner possible
* Preparing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
* Mentoring clients and assisting them in developing independent living skills
* Supporting clients in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and relapse prevention
* Managing complex and challenging client behaviours, including aggressive behaviours
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, you must meet the following criteria:
* Certificate III in Community Services or a related field
* Effective communication and time management skills
* Experience in the homelessness support sector or a related field
* Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client information
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent
What you'll get in return
We are seeking casual Crisis Support Workers in Mackay. The organisation operates a 24/7 facility; therefore, applicants must have the availability and flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including days, nights, and weekends. The position offers an attractive wage of $40.00 per hour plus superannuation and penalties, with an estimated 25-40 hours of work per week.
