The Master Data/Cataloguer creates, maintains, and improves Procurement and Supply Chain master data. You will be working closely with the Inventory, Maintenance, and Purchasing functions and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of Material Master Data being utilised by the company's operations is relevant and to a high standard
**Key responsibilities include**:
- The end-to-end process of creation and maintenance of all Supply Chain master data
- Comply with procedure documentation for Supply Chain cataloguing and master data
- Support data cleansing, de-duplication and data enrichment activities
- Reviewing quality and consistency of data for recent catalogue entry requests
- Identifying and resolving data quality issues and errors in ERP Systems, including conducting regular data audits and conducting root cause analysis of data quality issues
- Assist with continuous development & improvement of SAP Master Data Governance & Processes
- Update relevant Master Data settings based on business rules and information provided by other areas of the business.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to identify demand and drive continuous improvement and service levels
- Ability to communicate and work closely with various departments within the business
- Occasional site travel to meet with end users
**Requirements**:
- An understanding of procurement and procurement master data requirements and standards
- Experience using SAP in a Material Master Data context
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to identify problems and take action to mitigate them
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all different levels
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision
- Experience using data analysis tools preferred (MS Excel/Access)
- Experience (3-5 years) in purchasing, supply, logistics or Master Data administration relevant to Mining (Iron Ore) fixed plant & ancillary mining equipment (highly regarded)
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate business or engineering discipline (highly regarded)
