Medical Receptionist
Part-Time or Full-Time | Littlehampton, SA
Littlehampton Medical Centre is seeking a professional and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our well-established general practice in the Adelaide Hills.
This is a key front-of-house role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient service.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an essential role in ensuring a smooth and positive patient journey while supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming patients and providing exceptional front desk service
* Managing a busy appointment schedule using medical practice software
* Answering incoming calls and responding to enquiries
* Processing payments and Medicare/DVA claims
* Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
* Managing correspondence and general administrative duties
* Supporting doctors, nurses and allied health professionals
* Utilising Best Practice clinical software (preferred) or similar medical practice management systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and general practice workflows
* Experience using Best Practice software (preferred but not essential) or similar medical practice management systems
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
* Confidence working in a busy, multi-doctor practice
* A professional, reliable and team-oriented attitude
