In this role, you'll be responsible for leading surveying projects from start to finish, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both land and engineering surveying, a solid understanding of relevant legislation, and the ability to mentor junior staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Lead and manage all aspects of surveying projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.Field Work: Conduct precise surveys for various projects, including cadastral, topographical, and construction.Data Analysis: Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using specialized software.Quality Control: Ensure all surveys comply with Australian standards and company procedures.Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to junior surveyors and technical staff.Client Relations: Liaise with clients, engineers, and government authorities to ensure project requirements are met.Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, plans, and technical documents.Qualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualification in surveying or a related field.Current registration as a surveyor with the Surveyors Board of the Northern Territory (NT).
Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in a senior surveying role.Proficiency with modern surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners).
Strong knowledge of surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, 12d Model).
