Role

As a Platform Lead you've got some key responsibilities on your plate. Your top priority is making sure the department hits its goals, and your expertise is vital for shaping our plans. You're the go-to person for breaking down complex issues and explaining our options for decision‑making, even when things get a bit tense. Having strong negotiation and interpersonal skills is a must, as you'll be handling some tough conversations. Plus, you're a leader, guiding the team with your know‑how, driving intricate tech projects, and coming up with ideas that suit our department. Your unique skills in your field are what keeps us on the path to success.

The Platform Lead position sits within the Enterprise Platform Unit; a unit focusing on roadmaps, strategic planning and design associated with each of our enterprise platforms. The unit will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of platform design and drive the patterns and decision making for any new product development. They will provide platform expertise through the development process, including discovery, design, and delivery.

Working closely with the Platform Architect ServiceNow, the Technology Manager, ServiceNow is responsible for the overall management, governance, and strategic development of the platform.

This role involves overseeing the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of projects on ServiceNow to meet the department's business needs and drive operational efficiency. The incumbent will govern individual products that sit on the platform ensuring that IMTD's design principles continue to be applied consistently.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

* Significant experience as a Platform Lead in a large enterprise, preferably with a focus on service management.
* Demonstrated experience providing ServiceNow expertise, with strong knowledge of modules and out of the box functionality.
* Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and maintaining products on ServiceNow.
* Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining platform governance processes and standards to ensure continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated experience developing platform roadmaps.
* Demonstrated experience managing platform design and administration, including the authorisation of user access, permissions, and configurations.
* Demonstrated experience estimating technology solutions based on Discovery outputs, preferably on ServiceNow.
* Demonstrated experience invendor management, contract negotiation, change management principles.
* Tertiary qualification / accreditation in a related discipline would be advantageous.
