Due to internal mobility, this opportunity has become available within Stockland's newly established national WHS team. Based in Victoria, the role covers primarily our Eastern and some Northern assets and works in close partnership with a WHS Manager covering the western portfolio, ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach across the state.
Reporting into the Regional Senior WHS Manager within the safety function, you'll contribute to a broader WHS transformation focused on care, accountability and long‐term impact. This is a high‐impact role suited to an experienced WHS professional ready to provide visible leadership across Development, Investment Management and Construction.
The role is hybrid, with time spent across sites and the Melbourne office, plus one day per week working from home.
What You Will Do
* Lead the implementation of Stockland's WHS strategy, systems and Standards of Safety across Eastern assets in Victoria.
* Maintain a visible WHS leadership presence across sites, offices and project teams.
* Work in partnership with the WHS Manager covering Western Melbourne to ensure alignment and consistency across the Victorian portfolio.
* Provide expert WHS advice and coaching to internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify and manage WHS risks with a focus on Acute High Risk Activities.
* Guide incident management processes, facilitate investigations for serious incidents and ensure lessons learned are shared and acted upon.
* Facilitate learning programs, including high‐impact frontline leader sessions, and contribute to WHS data reporting and analysis.
* Collaborate with the wider Safety team and subject matter experts (SMEs) through targeted working groups focused on specific risk management activities.
* Implement health and wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
* Partner with senior leaders and delivery partners to embed a proactive, risk‐based safety culture across diverse Victorian operations, adopting a collaborative approach that builds strong stakeholder relationships and drives action‐focused follow‐up on issues. Occasional interstate travel for team activities.

Experience and Skills That Count
* Diploma or Degree in WHS, Risk, Environmental Management, Science or related technical discipline.
* An established WHS career within construction, asset management or both.
* Experience working in high‐risk industries such as construction, infrastructure, mining, gas or energy.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and contemporary best practice management systems.
* Familiarity with WHS assurance processes and investigation methodologies, including experience managing critical incidents.
* Crisis management capability and exposure to serious or critical level incidents.
* Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication, coaching and problem solving skills.
* A genuine passion for safety and a proactive, solutions focused approach to risk management.
