A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Procurement Manager to join our high performing Procurement team.This role is suitable for a driven individual who is motivated to grow and build their career within Snowy Hydro.
The role is responsible for the leadership of Purchase Order & Warehouse supplier spend, including oversight of contract/supplier and data management activities. This is a pivotal role that will ensure Snowy Hydro consistently obtains value for money and that associated procurement processes are as efficient as possible.
Your ability to build strong relationships will help you support key stakeholders to manage Purchase Order & Warehousing procurement through the provision of policies, systems, tools and training, as well as advice on best practice. Your strategic perspective will assist you in creating frameworks to ensure all objectives are being met, and to identify/implement opportunities for improvement.
This role can be based in Cooma, Sydney or Canberra as Snowy Hydro supports flexible working arrangements and appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, your key responsibilities will include:
Undertake detailed analysis of Purchase Order and Warehousing spend to identify efficiency and cost saving opportunities
Identify and implement improvement opportunities for Snowy Hydro's enterprise contractor engagement & management system, Gatekeeper
Utilise stakeholder relationship skills and flexible interpersonal style to lead direct reports and provide ongoing support to key stakeholders
Ensure Purchase Order and Warehousing policies and procedures remain fit for purpose and are consistently applied
Providing ongoing training to Purchasing Officers to ensure that best practice is followed and those personnel are capable of performing their roles successfully

A suitable applicant for the role will possess the following attributes:
Relevant tertiary qualifications is preferred but not required
5 years of relevant experience within a similar industry is favourable, with experience in:
People management
Contract drafting & negotiations
Drafting and administration of contractual notices and variations
System/database and data management
Ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with management and the wider business
