What you'll do:
Design & Architect Data Solutions: Design comprehensive data architectures including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse platforms, and real-time analytics systems that meet enterprise scalability, performance, and security requirements. Develop solution blueprints, technical designs, and architecture decision records that guide implementation teams and ensure alignment with client business objectives and technical standards.
Drive Revenue & Delivery Impact: Drive end-to-end sales and delivery of high-value data solutions, from opportunity identification and client engagement through to implementation and expansion, owning both revenue targets and delivery profitability across a portfolio of enterprise clients. Oversee end-to-end delivery lifecycle including solution architecture, implementation roadmaps, sprint execution, quality assurance, and client acceptance across multiple concurrent data engagements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs. Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, translating complex data concepts for non-technical audiences and ensuring technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
Drive Best Practices & Innovation: Establish data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and engineering best practices that ensure data quality, security, and maintainability. Stay current with emerging data technologies and methodologies, evaluating and incorporating tools and approaches that enhance our solution delivery capabilities and client outcomes.
What we're looking for:
Data Architecture Expertise: Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise data solutions including modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent), cloud data services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and data integration patterns (batch, streaming, CDC). Hands-on experience with data modeling (dimensional, Data Vault, or data mesh), ETL/ELT pipelines, and data quality frameworks with demonstrated success in delivering production data systems.
Technical Depth & Breadth: Solid understanding of data engineering technologies (Spark, SQL, Python), cloud-native data services, data governance tools, and CI/CD practices for data platforms. Familiarity with analytical and AI/ML workloads and their data platform requirements; ability to evaluate trade-offs between different architectural approaches and make sound technical decisions.
Communication & Collaboration: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams. Experience working in cross-functional teams, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants in fast-paced client environments. Strong problem-solving skills with ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, mentor talent, communicate technical concepts to non-technical executives, and navigate complex stakeholder environments in fast-paced, regulated industries. Experience balancing commercial objectives with delivery excellence and building high-performing data delivery practices.
