Ongoing, full‐time role based in Bendigo. This is a prioritised role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, who will be given priority consideration as per the special measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non‐Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
* Creating tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
* Assessing risk factors and developing individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
* Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community‐based teams on culturally safe and effective approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
* Building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
* Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.
About You
* A deep understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community.
* Strong case management skills and genuine passion for supporting others.
* A proven ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.
* Strong knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
* Experience in applying evidence‐based case management frameworks, especially with individuals with complex needs.
* The ability to apply theory to practice—identifying risk, planning interventions, and supporting behaviour change.
* A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
