Filling Line Operator (Grade 3)
Pastel Pines are looking to recruit a full-time Machine Operator (Pharmaceutical Grade -3) to join the team immediately to work on our liquid filling lines.
Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, this role's regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, although extra hours/weekend work may be required, depending on business needs. The working hours may also vary depending on production demand.
The ideal candidates will be passionate, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a busy production environment. You will be responsible for the quality of the product, the production output, and the supervision of line staff.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Supervise and train staff.
* Responsible for product quality.
* Responsible for the set production output for the workstation/line
* Set up, change over and operation of filling and packing machines – training will be provided if needed.
* Compounding batches- training will be provided if needed.
* Ensuring machinery is turned off at the end of the shift.
* Manually assembly of products, including filling, packaging, and labelling when required.
* Responsible for enforcing good manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, and workplace housekeeping.
* Complying with all health, safety, and quality requirements and procedures the business outlines.
* Other general tasks assigned by the factory supervisor.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Ability to lead a small team.
* Understanding and experience in liquid filling lines.
* Familiarity with the compounding processes.
* Basic numerical skills.
* Understand and be able to follow quality and operational procedures.
* Familiar and comfortable in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Be able to lift and perform repetitive manual tasks.
* Ability to think on your feet and have a can-do attitude.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Be well presented at all times.
