PROCESS OPERATOR

About the role
This residential position works a 7/7 roster rotating days and nights working 12 hours per shift. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain optimum process efficiencies by monitoring and adjusting process controls in the various site circuits and through effective problem-solving on the job.
Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, your duties will include:
Plant Operation & Optimization
* Operate various sections of the processing plant—crushing, grinding, flotation, oxidation, leaching—to maximize throughput and recovery while minimizing downtime.
* Safely operate mobile equipment such as loaders to support plant activities.
Maintenance & Equipment Checks
* Perform routine operational, equipment, and preventative maintenance inspections.
* Identify and report any non-performing or faulty equipment promptly to minimize disruptions.
Process Monitoring & Control
* Continuously monitor circuit variables (e.g., flow rates, reagent levels, pH, temperature).
* Adjust operating parameters to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency and quality.
Housekeeping & Safety
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
* Follow strict safety protocols and contribute to a culture of hazard awareness and risk reduction.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
* Pro-active, self-starter capable of working in a small team
* Valid manual drivers' licence
* Computer literacy and numeric skills
