Where you’ll be working 
Bega is located 429 kilometres south of Sydney, 228 kilometres from Canberra, and 174 kilometres from the NSW Snow fields. Your Chance 
- Provide high quality, evidence-based, patient-focused medical oncology services to patients with solid tumours in the Bega Valley. 
- Participate in specialist MDT meetings and lead development of processes and resources to enrol eligible patients into clinical trials, including relationships with tertiary trials units. 
- Lead and participate in research and safety/quality projects to guide service improvement and ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies. 
- Participate in CME and maintain professional standards in line with AHPRA requirements. 
- Provide care oversight when not on site and respond to enquiries related to patient care, dosing, and management. 
- Ensure routine use of SNSWLHD electronic systems (MOSAIQ) for documentation and chemotherapy prescribing for new treatments. 
- Provide training to the local oncology team. 
- Participate in the on-call roster as per clinical privileges. 
- Review electronic treatment protocols and contribute to new protocol development for MOSAIQ. 
Selection Criteria 
- Current Registration as a Medical Specialist with AHPRA. 
- FRACP with subspecialty training and experience in medical oncology. 
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive, high quality, compassionate medical oncology services and patient care. 
- Recent experience in a specialist MDT. 
- Ability to work with local clinical teams to lead and improve oncology service delivery. 
- Experience in leading change and managing stakeholder impacts. 
- Commitment to oncology education and training for local multidisciplinary clinicians. 
- Commitment to clinical research, including experience in clinical trials. 
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination (OASV) requirements apply as per NSW Health policy. All new employees must comply with policy PD2024_015. Vaccination against influenza is required for NSW Health staff entering Residential Aged Care Facilities or working in NSW Health RACFs.
