School Psychologist – Condobolin Public School (0000B825)

Position Overview
Full time, 1.0 FTE. The psychologist will be based at Condobolin Public School and will work across primary and high school aged students.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one‐to‐one and group counselling and psychological services to students, including short‐term therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
* Engage with and implement the procedures of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Consult with the principal, school executive, staff and student support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
* Contribute to the social, emotional, and academic development of students, supporting those with complex behavioural needs.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessment of students, report findings, and collaborate to improve outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents, carers and other agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support.
* Respond as part of a team to assist schools experiencing serious incidents.
* Refer students and/or their families and carers to external agencies to support student health and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG Inc and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
* Registered or provisionally registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
* Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC – NSW).
* Ability and willingness to travel between work sites; must hold a valid unrestricted provisional or full driver's licence.
Benefits and Remuneration
Base salary ranges from $101,122 – $160,983* plus leave loading and superannuation contribution. Rural and remote incentives up to $20,000–$30,000 per annum are available based on remoteness. A one‐off recruitment bonus of $20,000 (pro‐rata for part‐time) may be paid.
