About Us
* We are seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our team on a full-time basis in the Day Surgery unit, which is a Day of Surgery admission Centre as well as a Day Surgery/Endoscopy unit.
The Clinical Nurse role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of perioperative patients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
This role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing, and delivering of perioperative specialist nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research.
Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
2. Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care
3. Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
4. Acting as a role model for Safe Practice
5. Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs
Requirements
* Authority to Work in Australia
* Working with Children check (if relevant)
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
* Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
* Experienced in the theatre environment
* Previous experience in clinical education and training
* An ability to influence at various hospital levels, plan efficiently and effectively, and show drive to achieve results
* Outstanding relationship building and communication skills
* Productive in a self-directed environment
* Able to communicate with people on a variety of knowledge levels
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
