Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant equipment according to the company's preventative maintenance program.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations and perform scheduled maintenance.Perform basic machinist duties and responsibilities.Utilize mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and services.Diagnose problems, replace or repair broken or damaged equipment, test, and make adjustments.Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including PLCs, mechanical components, power supplies, drives, and testing equipment.Document maintenance activities through manual records, computer data entry, and equipment identification.Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.Follow safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized.Report equipment irregularities, investigate recurring failures, and suggest solutions.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.Proficiency with robotics is a plus.Company DescriptionJW Hicks has been creating specialized refractory solutions for over 40 years for the primary metals industry.
