About The Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our dynamic Medical and Surgical teams at Manning Base Hospital. In this role, you will provide high-quality, individualised patient care under the direction and guidance of Registered Nurses. You'll play a vital part in supporting patients with their personal care, mobility, and communication needs – helping them maintain dignity and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
As Part Of Our Team, You Will
Assist nurses and the multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Support routine clinical tasks such as preparing for procedures and maintaining equipment.
Accurately document patient care to ensure continuity and quality of service.
Uphold NSW Health's values, codes of conduct, and commitment to cultural respect and patient safety.
You will be supported by full-time Clinical Nurse Educators (Monday to Friday), after-hours educators, and a strong Senior Nursing Leadership team including Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists – all committed to guiding and developing you in your role.

About You

Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing), or
Current enrolment in an undergraduate Nursing degree (completed first year and at least first semester/trimester of second year), or
Current enrolment in a TAFE NSW Diploma of Nursing (completed foundational units in practice and minimum 120 hours of clinical placement).
You Will Also Demonstrate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to act calmly and decisively in challenging situations.
A cooperative, team-focused approach to care delivery.
