Connect Northern Rivers Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation whose purpose is to build the capacity of young people to successfully engage with education, training, and employment. We work to improve opportunities for young people through advocacy and support with industry, schools, and training providers.
This position is based in our Tweed Heads Office.
We are seeking a highly organised, hardworking and self-motivated person to join our work placement team. As a key role to the delivery of our service, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are run efficiently and our stakeholders receive an exceptional experience Role responsibilities will include:
* Work cohesively with all school sectors Government, Catholic and Independent schools including TAFE to provide and ensure successful work placements for students undertaking Vocational qualifications
* Provide high-level administrative and coordination processes that support students/schools/teachers with work placement requirement
* Prepare and present work placement inductions and work readiness sessions with students, teachers and EVET providers, so students are fully equipped to undertake a successful work placement
* Previous experience in presentation and training delivery is desirable
* Liaise with employers to facilitate placements using a variety of communication methods
* Source new employers and provide program inductions
* Carry out assessments of work placement settings, and to be aware of issues surrounding health & safety within the work place environment
* Maintain program database ensuring accuracy in the collection and appropriate management of data
* Work collaboratively as a team to ensure targets and deadlines are being met
Qualifications & experience
* Current drivers licence and must be able to meet National Police and Working with Children's checks.
* Strong administration, organisational and communication skills
* Experience using Microsoft 356 - Outlook, Word and Excel
* Ability to multi-task
* Proven ability to self manage workload
* Understanding of the NSW Education system &/or Vocational Education & Training is an advantage.
* Experience in Employment Services work would be an advantage but not essential
