About The Team
The Fleet, Credit Card, Insurance and Travel Section (FCIT) is part of the Financial and Shared Services Branch within the CFO Division.
The section has responsibility for providing the following services to the department:
* Credit card policy, administration, and support,
* Comcover Insurance management,
* Overseas travel policy, bookings, and system administration,
* Domestic Travel policy, support, and advice,
* Fleet management policy, administration, and support,
* Expense8 business support,
* Business improvement relating to functions and,
* Change and comms relating to FCIT and financial services.

We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking assistant manager to lead the credit card and insurance team.

* Sound understanding of whole of government and departmental policies including, Governments financial framework and PGPA.
* Experience in leading a team responsible for credit cards and/or insurance and expense8 is desirable.
What you will do
As Assistant Manager you will lead the credit card and insurance team and provide high level support to the Manager FCIT.
Key Tasks Will Include
* Lead and manage the workload distribution and resourcing for the credit card and insurance team.
* Staff Management - Establish and monitor KPIs and overall staff performance.
* SOP Management for credit card and insurance (updates, version control and sign off).
* Management and actioning of ServiceNow Tickets.
* Initiate, participate and lead the implementation of business process improvement initiatives as they relate to FCIT Section.
* Provide high level advice and guidance on policy and procedures, and liaise with other teams in FCIT, across Finance Group and the greater Department.
* Review and update policies and procedures.
* Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to provide the best outcome for the business.
* Action and respond to requests for information and briefs such as audit, Senate Estimates, Questions on Notice and other ad hoc requests.
* Manage end of month processes and reporting.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
