About the Role
This is primarily an office-based role, ideally suited to a builder with extensive hands-on experience in remedial works and renovations, quoting, procurement and project scheduling who is now seeking to transition into an office environment.
You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, assessing, and finding solutions to complex building problems, preparing estimates, coordinating material orders, managing supplier and subcontractor communications, and scheduling works to ensure projects run efficiently and on time. Your role is vital to the smooth operation of the business and supports the successful tendering and delivery of residential and maintenance projects.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a builder who enjoys the operational side of construction and is wanting to transition into a key office-based position. Work on the tools is not a requirement of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections to scope and quote works as required
Prepare accurate cost estimates, take-offs, and BOQs for residential and remedial projects
Prepare formal tenders and quotations
Schedule and coordinate materials and labour for upcoming works
Consult with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and manage procurement
Project management
Manage and track variations throughout the project lifecycle
Support construction teams with programming and resource planning
What We Are Looking For
Licensed Builder or equivalent qualification
Extensive experience as a qualified builder (preferably 5+ years) across remedial works, renovations, and new builds
Strong understanding of residential construction processes and relevant codes (Queensland)
Experience in quoting, procurement, scheduling, and project management
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and confidence using estimating and job management software
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with strong attention to detail
Work well in a team environment
