Find Purpose and Impact
As a Water and Wastewater Treatment Assistant, you'll play an essential, hands‐on role in keeping the Dubbo region safe, growing and enjoyable for all. Combining outdoors and office‐based work, you'll ensure the supply of clean, reliable and high‐quality drinking water. You'll also protect our region by treating sewage to an environmentally acceptable level. By getting stuck into interesting, diverse challenges, you'll test your skills and shape a career that never gets stale.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the effective, efficient operation of treatment plants and managing reservoirs, booster stations and sewer pumping stations to ensure they are of high quality and meet requirements.
* Assisting in general maintenance and operations of water and sewer treatment facilities.
* Assist in the batching and dosing procedures.
* Maintaining the yards and enclosures at water treatment facilities.
Qualifications
* Class C Driver's Licence.
* Proficient computer and administrative skills, demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy skills.
* Willingness and ability to learn tasks required to operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants.
* General Construction Induction Card.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability and willingness to undertake Cert III Treatment Operations and other training as required.
* Confined Spaces Certification.
