About the opportunity

The Student Engagement Advisor provides and promotes client focused service by providing in-person and online advisory and student engagement programs across Library sites to support students and provide access to the information resources and services required to support the learning, teaching and research of the University's staff and students as well as the community users.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* deliver client-focused frontline Library information services
* participate in the development and delivery of high-quality client-focused student engagement services.
* support the maintenance and operation of facilities and Library spaces to create a welcoming and functional environment for clients
* lead on activities to deliver services within a designated Service Group in areas such as Technology, Frontline, Collections, Concert Support and Student Experience
* support the team in identifying and responding to the current and future needs of internal and external clients.

About you

* a diploma level qualification or Certificate IV, with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience
* has evidence of adopting a positive approach to customer service, taking responsibility for follow up and ensuring that internal and external clients' needs and expectations are met
* demonstrated creativity in the application of technology in assigned tasks that support improvement of existing services and work practices.
* enjoys working in a team environment with a common purpose of supporting the Student Experience.
* must have demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve and exercise sound judgement including escalating and following up matters with supervisor as required the ability to demonstrate initiative and attention to detail, including effectively prioritising workload during busy periods.
