* Share moments of connection over a cuppa, discussing daily recovery goals
* Assist someone in practicing budgeting, cooking, or transport planning skills
* Provide empathetic support during challenging moments, maintaining a calm demeanor
* Celebrate small yet significant victories, like attending group activities
* Log notes, engage with your team, or attend learning sessions
* Offer guidance to residents' families on walking the recovery journey with them
While expertise in mental health isn't required, a deep commitment to people's potential for growth and healing is essential.
Key Qualities We Seek:
* A Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or similar, accompanied by experience in mental health
* Emotional intelligence, ability to remain calm under pressure, and value placed on teamwork
* Capacity to provide support beyond tasks, focusing on personal moments
* Understanding (or willingness to learn) of recovery-oriented practice principles
* Current driver's license and relevant background checks
* Lived experience as a consumer, carer, or family member in recovery is highly valued
