Marketing Officer
The Australian Campdraft Association (ACA) services approximately 150 affiliated campdraft committees and over 8,000 members around Australia, from our headquarters in Toowoomba.
The role of Marketing Officer requires the successful applicant to work closely with all team members, reporting directly to the Office Manager, and will be integral in crafting layered, strategically timed campaigns with compelling story telling that sparks and engages audience connection with brand consistency.
What will you do as the Marketing Officer at ACA?
* Actively promote ACA, their sponsors and the sport of campdrafting through campaigns, publications, and strategic communication.
* Plan and create engaging photos, video and written content for use across ACA's social media, digital platforms and marketing campaigns.
* Coordinate sponsorship agreements and advertising schedules whilst maintaining professional relationships with ACA's key stakeholders.
* Manage ACA News content, liaising with sponsors, and committees to plan, source, edit, and proof articles.
* Support key events like the ACA National Finals through promotional planning, advertising and sponsor brand promotion.
* Maintain and update the ACA website, digital platforms, and marketing materials.
* Support the integration and use of ACA's digital systems while assisting members, advertisers, and the ACA Office Team with related enquiries.
* Track and report on marketing performance, including analytics and advertising outcomes.
Relevant experience, skills and qualities you will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) is highly regarded.
* Experience and familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. Facebook Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, or similar) is essential.
* Experience in content creation across digital platforms, including social media and websites, plus understanding of basic performance metrics.
* Strong sense of language and tone, with attention to detail, a good instinct for layout and the ability to create clear, compelling content to engage readership and promote brands.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills with experience working with sponsors, partners, or community groups in a marketing or communications capacity.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a small team and manage multiple priorities or deadlines.
* An ability to take direction but also take initiative – anticipating needs before they arise.
* Understanding of or willingness to learn about rural and regional communities, campdrafting, or the equine industry is highly desirable.
