The Technical Officer Mechanical (Electrical) is responsible for the efficient delivery of maintenance services and minor capital projects to meet the operational targets and performance outcomes on electrical/mechanical assets within the Electrical/Mechanical team.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

* Develop, monitor and forecast maintenance programs for council owned buildings and facilities
* Provide lifecycle advice and costings to stakeholder to support long-term asset outcomes
* Plan, manage and monitor budgets for annual maintenance, refurbishments and asset replacements
* Coordinate resources and deliver planned maintenance and minor capital projects, including technical drawing reviews
* Conduct mandatory quality and safety inspections for contractors and staff to ensure compliance and safe work practices

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
* Current C Class Drivers licence
* General Construction Induction Card
* Experience with Lifts (vertical transport), Automated/Roller Doors and Building Management Systems would be desirable
* Experience with overseeing a team of multi-trade contractors
* Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary between $102,718 to $107,150 plus 12.5% superannuation.
